EquiLibrium Counseling Center
Kathleen Burgheimer, MSW, LCSW
Oftentimes exploring the reasons for coming into therapy can be difficult. My goal is to help you negotiate feelings that may arise in the process of healing. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process between client and clinician. As your therapist, I will help you answer questions or concerns you may have by guiding you on a journey inward and exploring with you the thoughts and feelings you experience. I will always encourage you to find and listen to your own voice. I acknowledge that a decision to come into counseling is a courageous act and I am committed to meeting you where you are in your personal journey through compassion and in a non-judgmental way.
I believe that everyone has the ability within themselves to move toward healing and wholeness. Sometimes, it takes added help from someone like me to be with you in the challenges you face.Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
Together we can explore ways to encourage self growth and improve your ability to cope with issues that interfere with your quality of life. Through various therapeutic approaches we will find the one that works best for you. This is called client centered therapy.
